Cat Dagendesh

The Full Story

I was born in Japan on a military base. I spent a lot of my childhood moving around which lead me to moving to La Crosse, WI in 2008. I have a lifetime of art experience ranging from charcoal, pencil, pen, oil, acrylic, watercolor, sewing. I’m co-founder of The Artsiders, a local art collective in La Crosse. In 2019 I took a gamble on myself and pursued a tattoo apprenticeship. Parallel to my art career, I’ve been an active bike-packer, traveling across Wisconsin and the country. This lead to through hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2023 The idea of opening a shop was far off in the distance, but much like the trail it happened slowly, one step at a time. Although, I tattoo a variety of styles, my preferred style is shading, color, black and grey and any ideas considered “weird”. I specialize in stylized realism, cover-ups, and big pieces. I absolutely love tattooing and strongly believe it’s pain therapy through an exchange of energy and the outcome is art.
